Meet the cast!

Tickets to this years pantomime have sold fast and are so very close to sell out for another year running. So this week on our blog we thought we would introduce one of the characters from this years pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves with a round of questions telling you all about them!

She’s fab and she is fierce…you better watch out for her and her ‘Black Magic’

14976747_10209249319003601_519544197515365710_o1. What is your name? Do you have any nicknames?

My full name is Queen Grizabella Brunhilde Sharon La Verne. I’ve heard the peasants have a special nickname for me – I imagine it’s Queen Grizabella the beautiful, or the wise. Something like that.

2. What does your social media/dating website bio say?

How did you know I was on Tinder?? That blasted mirror keeps catfishing me…

3. Tell us something about your childhood

I don’t think I was ever a child. Children are smelly and not at all glamorous.

4. What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Perfecting my winged eyeliner.

5. What is your idea of perfect happiness?

A room full of reflective surfaces so I could look at my gorgeous face from all angles.

6. What is your current state of mind?

Well I’m currently binge watching Toddlers and Tiaras. They’re all so gloriously evil, I’m jealous.

7. Who or what is the greatest love of your life?

Well as that famous sorceress Whitney Houston said: the greatest love of all is inside yourself. So… I’m pretty sure I’m at the top of everyone’s list.

I’ve always wanted to be able to see myself through other people’s eyes. You lucky lot. You get to look at me all day long.

9. What would be your dream holiday?

Nothing too fancy. Just a little break up in the Transylvanian mountains with some friends of mine, an ancient castle, lots of mirrors and no idiot step-daughters trying to one up me in the beauty stakes.

10. What is the meaning of life?

This face.

Thank you so much Queen Grizabella for answering our questions and we look forward to hearing more from you in the Panto in just under 2 weeks time.

We are delighted to announce the recent appointment of Lord St Oswald as Honorary Patron of Encore Theatre Company and are very appreciative of his support to our activities. Lord St Oswald is very proud of his support to local charities and organisations and we feel very privileged to have secured his interest in our Company. We will be keeping in touch with Lord St Oswald regarding our activities and hope you will all have an opportunity to meet him in due course.

Lord St Oswald

Nostell Priory has been in Lord St Oswald’s family for over 350 years. Although the house was passed to the National Trust in 1953, the family still retains use of the Adam Wing.

Lord St Oswald took over the running of the Nostell Estate and the associated businesses after the death of his Uncle (the 4th Baron St Oswald) in 1984. Lord St Oswald is particularly proud of the new prestigious, award winning, office development at Nostell. In addition to this, he also runs Appleby Estate in North Lincolnshire.

Lord St Oswald is President and Patron of a number of local charities in the Wakefield district, including the Wakefield Hospice, The Royal British Legion, The Chippendale Society, Wakefield Family History Society, The Friends of Wakefield Chantry Chapel and the National Mining Museum of England. He is also the Vice President and a Vice Chairman of The Yorkshire Society.

Lord St Oswald takes a keen interest in promoting Nostell Priory and the regeneration of the Wakefield district.

Lord St Oswald is married with two grown up children.
